I know it has been awhile, but we are working on this. Actually, I am working to organize it to hand it back over to the ladies who literally have tons of recipes all prepped to be added.
As you can see, we have streamlined things to make it easier for you to find what you want.
One of the things with this site is that all the widgets are on the bottom of the screen. Leaving the page clean for you to view on whatever device you are using. I also invite you to follow our Facebook page since there are often recipes I post there that I find on my walls.
Right now, all I have done is the breads. But after I finish posting this, I will work on whatever is next on the listings. I am having to go in and ‘touch’ each recipe to make sure it will sync with the new format.
For the menu system, we have revamped that as well. The categories are on the bottom of the page as a cloud. We knew that the old menu was hard to use on a tablet (especially since I am one of those tablet users for cooking!) and wanted to find an easier way for you to use the site and find what you are looking for. We went for a restaurant style menu since we are all familiar with that setup. Once you click on the main menu, it will show you what all is offered under that category. If you wish to refine it, we attempted to do that with sub-categories. You can always look to see what the sub-categories are since they are listed under the main listing.
At the very top of the footer section is the search option. I have used this to find what I am looking for.
We are also looking at more options to feature recipes on the now static front page. Once we are done with the organizing, we will replace the front page with a picture equivalent of the categories.
I will also be showcasing the recipes that I am organizing so that you can see what wonderful options we have! The first is below:
Pumpkin Banana Chocolate Chip Bread
Wendy’s Banana Bread
Grandma Rexroad Buttermilk Biscuits
James Beard Home Style Bread Recipe
I am working on each recipe, and I will be looking for my instructions on how to do the biscuits to add to that recipe.
Enjoy and please let us know what you think!
