M&M Cookies

I know..I know, I have not kept up with the postings and I am sorry for that. I have been working on the recipes that Miss Wendy sent me, so never fear. I am in the process of a surprise for you all, so that should make up for my lateness on things!

I decided to take a break from things and bake today. I have this book called Cookie Swap Recipes and decided to do M&M Cookies for you all.

You’ll need 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda,1/2 cup butter softened, 2/3 cups of sugar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 2 eggs, 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1 cup of M&M’s and a pinch of salt.

What I did first was get the flour and sugars together  before doing anything.

After preparing the flour mixture and sugar mixture. In my kitchen aid mixer, I put in the room temperature butter and mixed until creamy.

Next, I added the eggs and vanilla extract into mixture. As shown above. Now here is when things get a little weird and it could just be me. But after mixing it was a little soupy until I added the flour mixture, then that is when it looked liked cookie batter.

Once the batter is mixed well, you’ll want to add your M&M’s. Now the book said to add them after you already had the cookies on the cookie sheets but I cheated and just added it to the batter. What I should of done was added them and then folded the batter instead of turning on the mixer but lesson learned lol.

Once the M&M’s are mixed well into the batter. You’ll need to preheat the oven to 350 degrees. While that is preheating, scoop the cookies with a ice cream scoop and place onto the cookie sheets.

Finally, place the cookie sheet into the oven for 20 minutes or golden brown. They should look like this when done.

Overall, these cookies were just eh. Either it was me or it was just the recipe but they just didn’t do it for me once I tasted them. Maybe with some experiment they could turn out well? Who knows but I thought it was fun while baking.

If you do try to make this recipe, let me know how well it turns out.

If you have any suggestions, questions or you want to send us a recipe. Please let us know.

Until next time
